About the event
As the saying goes, "It's better to give than to receive," and what better time to give than during the holidays? Join us for the second annual Give One, Get One Christmas event and give the gift of your presence to help bring smiles to the faces of hundreds of Middle Tennessee children.
On December 21st, thousands of toys and household goods will line the walls of the 1000 Apex Street building, awaiting the young boys and girls enrolled at Nashville Inner City Ministry to select one item for themselves and another to give away to a family member or friend. A large room filled with people and toys can be overwhelming for these kids, but all they need is a new friend with a kind heart to help them open up and have a great time!
And that's where you come in! We need hundreds of volunteers to come spend time getting to meet and know these great kids while helping them pick out items. Whether you have time to help decorate and setup or to help kids "shop," all you need to do is sign up for a time slot on the day of the event, show up on time, and bring a big smile! We guarantee that you'll get more than you give!
